WE ARE GODS IN THESE BODIES
One of the things you must realize about being human is that you are actually more than merely human. You are a GOD!
Ok, now that I have a few eyebrows raised...
When I was dying a few years back I had a lot of time to realize things and as the truth of what I have been working with the bulk of my life came to me as I lay in that hospital bed with no rational expectation of leaving it alive, I was able to stop worrying and face what seemed to be coming with no fear, no hand-wringing repentance for imaginary sins, none of that garbage. I saw what was coming and this is it.
Think about this. Even while in your body you can do some pretty amazing things. You can sit, relax, and merely by sitting and relaxing you are able to make things happen all over the world. You can gather information and put that information to work without leaving your living room recliner. And some of those things can become pretty spectacular.
So, let us take this one step further. The time will come when you do not need the body any more. Age will take care of that if nothing else does. It is at that point that things really will get interesting.
First, you will no longer be limited by time and space. You can go anywhere and anywhen. Want to go back and watch the Big Bang go Boom? Sure, no problem. And you will be able to do things, not only on the place you are in, but in the physical world as well once you master the art of drawing energy to make things work. You will have very few limits, only those imposed by the amount of energy that you need and your ability to draw on it.
Second, you will not have any rules. If it can be done, and you are able to do it, you will have the right to do it. The only limitation seems to be that once an event is fixed, namely that it physically has occurred, you cannot go back in time and change it. Lincoln stays assassinated. But all the ethical and moral garbage people have been feeding you since five minutes after you were born does not matter.
Third, you will literally create your own environment. Think of the post-death state as a sim and you have the ability to build anything in it that you want. And if you want to imprison the soul of your deranged ex-girlfriend in a large bottle with buzzing flies, you can unless she can figure out how to escape.
In that state, you will have no need to fear the wrath of a deity, for you will be the equal of any deity, nor the pitiful ravings of the do-gooders. Self-sovereign and personally divine, you will be the master of your universe.
In a weird sense, the Christians had it right in that living was merely a preparation for the longer life to come. But they had everything else wrong. This life is not to be spent in preparing to serve and worship a God. This life is to be spent preparing to become a God yourself.
